Pastor Wayne has been in ministry for over 20 years. He is currently the Lead Pastor at WestGate Church in Jacksonville, Florida.  He is the Founder and President of Living NEW Ministries International. He serves as a Chaplain for the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.

Pastor Wayne has planted two churches and was involved in another church plant prior to becoming a lead pastor. He began the Chaplaincy ministry of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department in 1992, while being employed as a Firefighter / Paramedic. He has, since his retirement from the department, continued to serve as a Chaplain and assists with the Critical Incident Stress Management program.

Pastor Wayne has been part of cross denominational unity movements within the city of Jacksonville for several years. He was on the Executive Leadership Team of Mission First Coast, a spiritual transformation ministry in Jacksonville. During this time, much of his efforts with Mission First Coast were to involve and develop a unity movement that would break down the racial barriers within the Body of Christ. He helped foster joint worship services between different churches that were primarily made up of a single ethnic background. Pastor Wayne is convinced that the racial tensions in our cities are a direct result of sin within the Body of Christ, who has failed to demonstrate the love of God for the world to see.

Pastor Wayne takes seriously the command of God to go into all the world. He has traveled to many countries on six of the seven continents of the world, assisting church planters, teaching pastors in seminars, preaching evangelistic meetings and working in medical clinics. His primary calling on these mission trips is to train, develop and encourage pastors and church planters. Pastor Wayne has taught thousands of pastors over the years on these trips.

He also believes with great conviction that the Body of Christ needs to evaluate and change the way it is doing ministry. Pastor Wayne is convinced biblically that Pastoral Team Ministry is essential for the church to effectively function. The way most churches are started in our nations are through division rather than biblical multiplication. As a result, the power of the church is greatly reduced. Therefore, Pastor Wayne believes, has been part of and initiated several church mergers over the past several years. This becomes a “win-win” situation, where Team Ministry takes place, momentum increases and all who look can see the Word of Christ being fulfilled right before their eyes, with the Body becoming one, thereby enabling the lost to believe according to John 17.

Pastor Wayne’s passion is for the development of leaders in the Body of Christ, to call the Church as a whole to a renewed awareness of God’s presence in their daily lives and to challenge all who believe to live as Christ’s representatives by demonstrating His great love. As a result of this passion and call of God on his life, he has begun a ministry to facilitate a more effective way in fulfilling his call. This ministry is entitled Living NEW Ministries International. God has given him a Word for the Body. You and I must live NEW or live a life of Never Ending Worship if we want to experience the tangible presence of Almighty God in our daily lives. This ministry is broad based and will model the function of Christ’s Body, the Church. We were created to bring glory to God and that can and must be accomplished through many different avenues.

Pastor Wayne is married to his high school sweetheart, Vicki. They have three children, two girls, Ashley and Courtney, and a boy, Jared. They also have a son-in-law, Nik, who is married to Courtney.
